For our 10th anniversary, we’re giving one member the chance to share their business idea with investor, CEO, and tennis legend Serena Williams. The winner will also travel to NYC for a day at Serena Ventures HQ and receive a $15,000 seed fund.

For budding entrepreneurs, a great idea is just the beginning. You need mentorship and resources—and that’s why we’re launching this contest. One member will present their business idea 1:1 to investor, CEO, and history-making athlete Serena Williams. They’ll also spend a day with Serena Ventures in New York and take home $15K to help them get their idea off the ground.

How to enter:

  1. Watch Serena’s class.
  2. Look out for an email from us.*
  3. Send a 3-minute video pitch outlining your business idea and founder story by September 23.
  4. Ten finalists will send 10-minute videos expanding on their business ideas by October 17.
  5. The winner will be announced October 27.

Judging Criteria

Qualifying submissions will be judged, and finalists selected, based on the following equally weighted criteria:

Your Idea

A clear, compelling sense of what your company will do, the problem it will solve, and why it matters.

Your Founder Story

An explanation of why you’re building this business and what makes you uniquely equipped to do it. Must include your background, experience, and connection to the mission.

What Sets You Apart

An articulation of how your business will stand out from competitors that explains why others won’t be able to easily replicate your success.

Your Vision

Your roadmap for growth: why you and your team have what it takes to scale, and why now is your moment.
